Pascal, Gwenaël and their three daughters, Naïline, Lilwen and Olwéane, are travelling on the sailing boat Nansen for three years on a trip around the Atlantic, from Brittany to the Arctic, via Africa and the Amazon. During their stopovers, the teenage girls decide to meet indigenous communities whose lives are closely linked to natural resources. Through their encounters and extraordinary experiences, they bear witness to the beauty of the natural world and the strength of the people they meet. They address universal questions about our changing world: What is my connection to my homeland? What do I eat? What do we do with our waste? How do I get around? What amazes me around me? Beyond the oceans, this living material becomes the basis for educational projects organised with young adults in a French as a Foreign Language class in France. These exchanges provide both the keys and the energy to collectively meet the environmental challenges that await us, a source of hope for a future full of possibilities.
